Here you'll find a selection of some of our favourite recent weddings.

We loved getting creative and designing menus that would really represent each of our couples, bringing flavours from their childhoods, relaxed grazing boards and other delicious surprises together into colourful, personal feasts to wow their guests.  Click on each of the galleries to find out more about the food and the lovely couple it was cooked for.

CHARLOTTE & TOMMY

Venue: Captains Wood Barn | Images by Lee Garland Photography

The Brief:

Charlotte and Tommy were looking for a celebration that was big on design and big on atmosphere. Captain’s Wood Barn is the most magical of local venues that manages to be at once rustic and seriously cool, and it suited this couple’s style down to the ground. One of the things that was most important to Charlotte and Tommy was that their guests could get stuck in and share everything. They wanted to have the sophistication of a three-course sit down meal, without any of the accompanying stuffiness – music to our ears. We knew the BBQ would come into play here, and brought out a favourite starter of gooey baked camembert with hunks of freshly baked warm bread to dunk and enjoy. Couple this relaxed feasting menu with some of our finest cutlery, linen and glassware, and you’ve got the perfect mix of laid back style and luxurious elegance.

The Menu:

Words of Love:

“I can't begin to express my sincerest thanks to you, the ENTIRE catering and waiting staff for an absolutely stupendous day with the fabulous food and service. Your staff were so friendly, polite, helpful, courteous and made all of our guests feel very special for the entire day.

The food was unbelievable!  I heard only compliments. You were so helpful with so many things like choosing the crockery, cutlery and glassware and the timings on the day.  You made it all so easy and enjoyable.

I wish we could do it all again and we wouldn't change a thing.’

DANIELLE & CHARLIE

Venue: Dedham Boathouse | Images by Marcus Howlett

The Brief:

Oh this wedding food was just so much fun to plan! Danielle and Charlie had a glorious sunny marquee wedding, including a spot of messing about in boats on the river. It was hot and summery, and the couple knew they wanted light, seasonal, colourful food that would provide a wow factor and include a nod to Danielle’s Scottish heritage without weighing their guests down too much. There was some serious dancing planned for the evening, and they wanted everyone feeling fresh and light on their feet!

We created what are probably my favourite ever canapés – haggis bon bons with a very naughty smoky whisky dip. For the main meal, we kept things served family style, so guests could pass everything around between them. We brought out deli boards laden with charcuterie, cheeses and homemade terrines, followed by rare roast beef and a fresh and zingy smoked chicken and mango salad. When it came to dessert, we wanted to make a statement for Danielle and Charlie, so we decorated an antique dresser from Charlie’s mum, loading it with flowers and luscious desserts flavoured with summer berries. Delicious!

KIRSTIE AND DAVID

Venue: The Railway Barn | Images by The Love Factory

The Brief:

Kirstie and David wanted casual classics with a twist for their wedding feast, and were particularly keen to serve their guests steak and chips. This meaty main course is always one of my absolute favourites to cook. They also chose a dessert ladder to display their sweet treats, which is always a fun and interactive way of showing off our puds, and is the perfect option for couples with a well-defined sweet tooth who want a lot of flavours to choose from. This was party starting food, and we were more than happy to oblige!

LAURA AND JAMES

Venue: The Barns at Lodge Farm | Images by Kelsie Low Photography

The Brief:

Laura and James planned the most incredibly cool-yet-rustic celebration at Lodge Farm Barns, and they knew they wanted their guests to feel consistently well looked after and well fed. After our consultation, the menu we created together with this lovely pair read like a who’s who of ultimate favourite dishes. We have to admit to being jealous of every guest at their event!

From fun miniature fish and chip canapés, to sumptuous deli sharing boards, grilled steak and salmon and our secret recipe chocolate brownie stacks with lashings of ice cream and chocolate sauce, this was a wedding by foodies, for foodies and we loved every minute.

"The food at our wedding was INSANE! Everything looked and tasted incredible, and we still have guests mention how much they enjoyed it.  Linda's chocolate brownies are quite literally the best thing ever, and I'm still trying to find one that beats them! Delicious!! Linda and her team are so lovely and full of smiles, and I would recommend them to everyone! Thank you all so much for such a wonderful experience xx’

SOPHIE AND JAK

Venue: The Barns at Lodge Farm | Images by Jess Soper

The Brief:

It was immediately clear to us that Sophie and Jak wanted their wedding food to be at the heart of their celebration. When a couple comes to us with a deep love of food, and really care about every detail of their menu, it makes our job even better! They knew they were looking for a generous, warming menu – one that included cheese (hooray!) and their favourite carrot cake.

We kept things summery with a hint of autumnal spice creeping in in our flavours, and Shireen, our star baker, worked wonders with the carrot cake brief, creating a three-tiered marvel that we served with refreshing stem ginger ice cream. This was a wedding we will definitely not forget.

VICKY AND JAMES

Venue: Tipis in private garden on Mersea Island | Images by DA Photo

The Brief:

We first met Vicky and her family when we catered her sister's wedding two years ago, so we were especially thrilled then Vicky got in touch to chat about her own day.
Vicky and James were really keen to serve fresh, seasonal, generous and super tasty food, and knew that they wanted us to fire up the BBQ with some unusual options available to choose from. They opted to serve plenty of canapés alongside reception drinks, which I love. I think for many it's the best part of weddings – the chance to catch up with friends and family while enjoying a drink or two and some delicious morsels in the sunshine.

In the evening we served a multi-tiered graze incorporating the cheese wedding cake, charcuterie, antipasti, homemade dips, rustic breadsticks, crackers, chutney, fruit and nuts. This wedding was a real treat for us, not only because of the incredible menu we got to design and cook, but because of the familiar faces we got to see again. Vicky and James were so welcoming and we had the best time!

‘Gather & Feast were amazing from start to finish, from the planning, food tasting to the wedding day.  We couldn't wish for it to go any better and it was exactly how we dreamt.  We can't thank or recommend them enough.’

MOLLY AND JACK

Venue: Barn at Great Lodge Vineyard | Images by Tom Halliday

The Brief:

Molly and Jack were an absolute joy to be around – so enthusiastic and excited about each step of the process in planning their wedding. They were initially unsure about having paella  – their favourite meal – as a main course on the day, as they worried it would be breaking too much with tradition. But we encouraged them to go for it as it really reflects the food they love and the sort of celebration they wanted: warming, tasty and a real talking point. It was a huge success! We had what is possibly the biggest paella pan ever invented to cook in, and it was served into smaller traditional paella pans straight to guests’ tables for them to share.

The Menu:

Charcuterie Boards:
Parma ham, bresaola, peppered salami,
mozzarella tomato & basil, pimento olives.
Red pepper hummus, beetroot & feta dip
Bakery bread & dipping oil

Chicken, Chorizo & Prawn Paella

‘We're just heading off to the airport so I will thank you properly once we're home from honeymoon, but I just wanted to say that we can't thank you enough for how incredible you and your team were on our special day.  You were all truly amazing!’

POPPY AND TIM

Venue: Tipis on the couple's farm | Images by The Edge Photography

The Brief:

Poppy and Tim were all about the food, which is guaranteed to make us very happy indeed! They knew they wanted a hearty, warming, seasonal menu full of the best flavours that October had to offer. After sampling a range of options in our kitchen, they selected a slow roasted herby pork shoulder with apple sauce and cider gravy. Autumn on a plate!

The couple knew they wanted to set the tone for their event with some suitably punchy welcome drinks for their guests. We bypassed the traditional champagne and instead served up a fruity cider sangria, which went down a storm.

The Menu:

And thank you for being the most amazing organiser on the lead up to the wedding. Me and Tim really really appreciate it. Xx’
